Advice
Sweetened condensed milk dessert is a milk jelly where sugar is replaced with condensed milk. It's very easy and quick to prepare - the main time is spent chilling. Perfect for serving at parties in individual portions.
Preparation
Step 1
Pay special attention to choosing the main ingredient - sweetened condensed milk. Choose high-quality, reliable condensed milk without vegetable fats or additives. The ingredients should only be milk and sugar. The quality of the condensed milk determines the final taste and texture. You can use milk of any fat content. I used instant gelatin.
Step 2
Pour one-third of the total milk amount over the gelatin. Stir well and let it swell. The blooming time depends on your gelatin - check the package instructions.
Step 3
Place the saucepan over low heat. Heat the mixture, stirring with a whisk, until hot, but do not boil - otherwise, the yolks may turn into scrambled eggs.
Step 4
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Immediately add the swollen gelatin while the mixture is still hot. Stir with a whisk - the gelatin will dissolve quickly in the heat.
Step 5
Take portion-sized molds (ramekins, bowls, or cups). Pour the hot dessert into them, preferably through a fine sieve - this will catch any undissolved gelatin pieces or egg residues. Let the dessert cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until fully set (6–10 hours). I chilled mine overnight.
Step 6
Serve with fresh berries, nuts, or chocolate pieces. Enjoy!
