Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Choose straight, long crab sticks that can be easily unrolled and filled. If frozen, thaw them in advance. Remove the individual wrappers. Hard-boil the egg, leave it to cool and peel it.
Step 2
Gently roll each crab stick between your fingers to help separate the layers. Find the outer edge and carefully unroll the stick into a flat sheet, taking care not to tear it.
Step 3
Finely grate the cheese and place it in a bowl. Finely grate the hard-boiled egg and add it to the cheese. Peel and finely grate or crush the garlic. Add it to the bowl along with mayonnaise and a little salt. Mix thoroughly until the filling is evenly combined.
Step 4
Place each unrolled crab stick red-side down. Spread some filling along the white edge on the inside. Roll it up tightly and place it on a plate. Cover the plate with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes so the filling firms up and the rolls are easier to cut.
Step 5
Using a sharp knife, cut each roll diagonally in half. Arrange on a serving plate and garnish with fresh herbs.
