Stuffed Baguette in the Oven

Quick, easy, and filling breakfast for the whole family! The stuffed baguette in the oven is like a giant hot sandwich, only juicier thanks to the generous stuffing. Just like pizza, you can use whatever ingredients you have in the fridge.

Preparation
Step 1
For this recipe, you can use a regular loaf, a small baguette, a bun, or ciabatta like I did. Same with the filling - use what you have: ham, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, pickles, olives, peppers.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). While you're preparing the filling, the oven will reach the right temperature. Dice the ham (or any sausage you prefer).
Step 3
Wash and dry the tomato, then dice it as well. Don’t cut it too small - larger chunks are better. Choose firm, juicy tomatoes. Overripe ones fall apart and make the dish look messy.
Step 4
Put the diced ham and tomatoes into a bowl, add mozzarella balls (no need to cut them). You can also use other melting cheeses, or a mix of different kinds - just dice them. Add mayonnaise and ketchup, salt and pepper to taste (lightly, as the filling already includes salty items).
Step 5
Mix the ingredients thoroughly so everything is well coated in the sauces.
Step 6
Slice off the top of the loaf and carefully remove the inside to form a "boat". You can use the removed bread for making breadcrumbs.
Step 7
Fill the hollowed-out loaf with the prepared filling.
Step 8
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the stuffed loaf on it.
Step 9
Bake the stuffed loaf in the oven for about 20 minutes until golden and the cheese is fully melted. Remove from the oven, transfer to a board or plate, slice into portions, and serve. Enjoy!
