Advice
It’s best to use fresh rather than frozen meat for this recipe, otherwise the cooked chicken may turn out dry.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all necessary ingredients.
Step 2
The "breast" often refers to the part with skin and bone. What you need here is the fillet. You can buy it already prepared to save time. Even plain it’s tasty, but you can season it with your favorite spices now if you like.
Step 3
Fill a steamer with water and place it on the stove. Wait until the water boils. Moisten the rack and place the chicken breast on it. Insert the rack into the steamer. Start timing the cooking once the water is boiling. Steam the breast on one side for 4-5 minutes with the lid closed. You can also use a multicooker with a steaming rack or improvise a steamer using a pot and a strainer.
Step 4
Flip the breast and steam the other side for another 4-5 minutes. This time should be enough for juicy chicken cooked in its own juice. Don't overcook or the meat will be dry. Under-steaming will leave it raw. After steaming, wrap the breast in foil and let it rest for 2–3 minutes. This helps the juices distribute evenly.
Step 5
This method makes the chicken breast tender and juicy. Serve as a standalone dinner or on a festive table. Chicken breast is a great source of lean protein, supporting metabolism and weight loss. Enjoy!
