Spicy tuna pasta

A quick and flavorful tuna and tomato pasta with garlic, chilli, and herbs, perfectly coated in a rich, glossy sauce.

Half-fill a large saucepan with water, cover with a lid, and bring to the boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook uncovered for 10-12 minutes, or until tender but still slightly firm to the bite, stirring occasionally to separate the strands.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large frying pan over low heat. Add the chopped garlic and chilli and cook for 20-30 seconds, stirring continuously to prevent the garlic from burning. Stir in the tomatoes and dried oregano, then bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Step 3
Cook the sauce for 8-10 minutes, stirring regularly, until thickened and glossy. Add the tuna and cook for an additional minute. Season with a little salt and plenty of freshly ground black pepper.
Step 4
Drain the pasta and combine it with the tomato and tuna sauce, tossing well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated. Serve immediately.
