Step 1
How to make spaghetti with cheese in a creamy sauce? You’ll need a little time and a specific set of ingredients. Use 20% fat cream - it’s ideal for sauces. The processed cheese should be plain creamy, without add-ins.
Step 2
For the sauce, peel the garlic cloves and crush them with the flat side of a knife.
Step 3
In a skillet over medium heat, warm butter and vegetable oil. Add the garlic cloves and fry until browned and fragrant. Then remove the garlic from the skillet. Reduce the heat to low. If you want to keep the garlic in the sauce, finely chop it or press it through a garlic press and sauté until lightly golden. Make sure it doesn’t burn.
Step 4
Pour the cream into the skillet and add the processed cheese.
Step 5
Stir the sauce until smooth. The cheese should fully melt into the cream with no lumps. If you still get lumps, strain the sauce through a sieve and return it to the skillet.
Step 6
Bring the sauce to a boil, season with salt and pepper, and stir. Adjust the thickness to your taste. Mine is medium-thick. For a thinner sauce, add more cream or dilute with milk. For a thicker sauce, use more processed cheese and simmer until it reaches the desired consistency.
Step 7
While the sauce is cooking, boil the spaghetti in a large amount of salted water until al dente - about 7-8 minutes. Drain in a colander and let the water drip off.
Step 8
Transfer the spaghetti to the skillet with the sauce and toss quickly. Heat everything together for 1 minute.
Step 9
Plate the spaghetti in the cheese-cream sauce and serve, garnished with herbs. Enjoy!
