Preparation
Step 1
How do you make soy sauce marinade for grilled skewers? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Pay special attention to the choice of soy sauce. Choose naturally brewed soy sauce.
Step 2
Pour the soy sauce into a small bowl. You only need the juice from the lemon, so you can also use ready-made bottled lemon juice. If you decide to squeeze the juice directly from the lemon, first wash it with hot water - this way the lemon will yield more juice. Also use a small sieve so that the seeds do not get into the marinade.
Step 3
Add a little pepper. I use a blend of hot ground peppers, but it can also be just one kind of pepper. You can also add your other favorite seasonings. I really like fenugreek or khmeli-suneli, but follow your own taste.
Step 4
Pour the vegetable oil into the marinade. In principle, it can be any vegetable oil, but I advise avoiding oils with a strong smell or taste, such as unrefined sunflower or olive oil. In general, I really like sesame oil in marinades.
Step 5
Add the minced garlic clove. I passed it through a press, but you can grate it on a fine grater or simply chop it with a knife. If you do not have fresh garlic, garlic powder will also work.
Step 6
Mix all the ingredients well. You can store this marinade in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 7 days, and simply stir it before using. The marinating time for meat with this marinade is 4-24 hours, for fish 1-12 hours, and for vegetables 1-3 hours. This marinade is also suitable not only for grilled skewers, but also, for example, for steak or cutlets.
Step 7
Enjoy your meal!
