Preparation
Step 1
How do you make sour cream ring buns in the oven? Prepare the ingredients. They should all be at room temperature, so take the eggs, sour cream, and butter out of the refrigerator in advance. Crack the eggs into a deep bowl and begin beating them with a mixer, gradually adding the sugar. If you like, you can also add vanilla powder. Beat for 2-3 minutes, then add the sour cream, I used 20%, and the melted butter cooled to room temperature.
Step 2
Sift the flour into a separate bowl. This will enrich it with oxygen and make the baked goods fluffier. Add the baking powder to the flour and mix with a whisk. Begin gradually adding the flour to the batter, continuing to beat with the mixer. When it becomes difficult to use the mixer, switch to kneading by hand.
Step 3
You should get a soft and elastic dough. Keep in mind that you may need a little more or a little less flour. If the dough sticks to your hands, add a bit more flour.
Step 4
Cut off pieces of the dough and shape them into logs.
Step 5
Form the logs into rings. I got 12 pieces.
Step 6
Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place the ring buns on it with space between them, because they will increase in size during baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes. It took 20 minutes in my case. You may need a little more or a little less time, so use your oven as a guide. Bake until lightly golden and until your kitchen fills with the wonderful aroma of homemade baking. The sour cream ring buns are ready. Enjoy your meal!
