Skillet Omelet with Green Onions
Fluffy, beautiful, and the tastiest of all. Perfect for breakfast. Making a skillet omelet with green onions is very easy, and you only need simple, affordable ingredients. In the end, you get a wonderfully tasty dish that lifts your mood at the start of the day.

Step 1
How do you make a skillet omelet with green onions? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Use large eggs, preferably farm eggs, or at least extra-large ones. Choose regular milk with 2.5-3.2% fat. The butter should be natural, with only cream listed in the ingredients. The fat content of the butter should be at least 82%.
Step 2
Crack the eggs into a fairly deep bowl. We will be adding other ingredients to the eggs and mixing everything vigorously, so the bowl should have high sides.
Step 3
Salt the eggs. At this stage, you can add any favorite herbs or seasonings to the omelet mixture. Dry seasonings might include ground pepper, Provence herbs, or dried garlic. Fresh chopped herbs also work well here, such as dill, cilantro, basil, and green onions.
Step 4
Beat everything with a fork or a whisk.
Step 5
Carefully pour in the milk. It is often said that for 1 egg, you should use as much milk as fits into half of that egg’s shell. Follow roughly those proportions.
Step 6
Prepare the skillet in which you will cook the omelet. It is great if it has a nonstick coating or if it is cast iron, like mine. Put the butter into the skillet and melt it over low heat.
Step 7
Pour the melted butter into the egg mixture, stirring constantly with a fork so the eggs do not curdle.
Step 8
Pour the egg mixture back into the same skillet. Place it over low heat and cook until the omelet reaches the consistency you like. You can add the chopped green onions at this stage, or mix them directly into the egg mixture beforehand. I prefer the onions not too cooked, so I add them later.
Step 9
If you see that the omelet is not cooking well in the center, cover the skillet with a lid and cook until fully done.
Step 10
I decorated the omelet with green onions, simply sprinkling them on top. You can also use any other fresh herbs or small pieces of tomato, olives, and so on.
Step 11
Serve the omelet immediately while hot. It is a great dish for a family breakfast. Enjoy your meal!
