Preparation
Step 1
How do you make lavash triangles with ham and cheese? Prepare all the ingredients listed in the recipe. Instead of ham, you can use any cooked or smoked sausage. A hard cheese works great, but soft mozzarella is also very tasty.
Step 2
Grate the cheese and ham on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Crack the egg into a deep bowl and whisk. Add a pinch of salt. I like adding a mix of ground peppers, garlic powder, and dried herbs such as basil, oregano, or Provence herbs at this stage. Mix well.
Step 4
Cut the lavash into even, identical rectangles. Neat triangles turn out best from strips about 15 cm (about 6 in) long and 7 cm (about 2¾ in) wide.
Step 5
Mix the ham and cheese together.
Step 6
Place the cheese-and-ham filling on the edge of the lavash.
Step 7
Fold over the edge of the lavash.
Step 8
Keep folding.
Step 9
Tuck in each side as you go.
Step 10
Continue until you form a triangle. Make triangles from all the strips the same way.
Step 11
Dip the triangles in the egg mixture on all sides.
Step 12
Heat vegetable oil in a thick-bottomed skillet. If your skillet has a wide base, you may need a bit more oil than the recipe states. Fry the triangles over medium heat until the sides are nicely browned.
Step 13
Flip the triangles and cook until golden on the other side.
Step 14
Done! Serve while hot.
