Shortcrust Pie with Jam and Walnuts
You can make this pastry with any jam you have at home. This is a wonderful quick pie recipe with a filling of your favorite jam and walnuts that will pleasantly surprise you with its excellent taste and is sure to be loved by many.

Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients for making this delicious easy pie with filling.

Place 150 g sour cream (about 5.3 oz or 2/3 cup) into a bowl, then add 150 g sugar (about 5.3 oz or 3/4 cup).

Mix the sour cream and sugar well.

Add 150 g softened margarine (about 5.3 oz) to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl well until smooth.

Add 3 chicken eggs to the bowl one at a time, mixing after each addition.

Using a mixer, beat all the ingredients in the bowl well until the mixture is smooth.

Pour 600 g sifted flour (about 21 oz or about 5 cups) into a deep bowl and add 10 g baking powder (about 2 tsp).

Add 1/3 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.

Mix all the ingredients well.

Add the flour mixture to the bowl with the liquid base in batches, mixing as you go.

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl well with a mixer and knead the dough.

Continue kneading the dough thoroughly by hand in the bowl.

Divide the dough in half and place one part in the freezer.

Roll out one part of the dough into a thin round or sheet the same size as the baking pan.

Wrap the rolled dough around a rolling pin.

Transfer the dough sheet to the baking pan.

Press and spread the dough evenly in the pan with your hands.

Spread the desired amount of jam over the dough to your taste in an even layer, leaving a small border around the edges.

Top the jam with chopped walnuts and distribute them evenly.

Take the frozen piece of dough out of the freezer and grate it into the pan using a coarse grater.

Spread the grated dough evenly over the nuts and place the pan into an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F).
