About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
How do you make seaweed salad with crab sticks and egg? Prepare the ingredients. I used ready-made canned seaweed with no oil or other additives, only salt and spices. My crab sticks were chilled. If yours are frozen, thaw them beforehand. Boil the eggs in advance for 7–9 minutes and let them cool completely. If you do not have purple onion, use a regular onion.
Step 2
Remove the plastic wrap from the crab sticks, then cut them into small cubes. The wrap around each crab stick can sometimes be difficult to remove. To make it easier, hold the sticks over steam for 1–3 seconds.
Step 3
Peel the eggs and chop them into small cubes, the same size as the crab sticks. The salad will look beautiful and neat if all the ingredients are cut into pieces of the same size and shape.
Step 4
Peel the onion and cut it into half rings.
Step 5
Place the seaweed, crab sticks, eggs, and onion in a bowl. If there is too much liquid in the seaweed, drain it in a sieve beforehand.
Step 6
Add the mayonnaise and mix. Taste the salad for salt. Add salt to taste. I usually do not add salt to salads with mayonnaise, but this is a matter of taste. The same goes for pepper - add it or not as you prefer. Chill the finished salad slightly in the refrigerator, then serve. Enjoy!
