Step 1
How do you make sausage salad? Prepare all the listed ingredients. It is best to use fresh white cabbage from the new harvest. You can also make this salad with red cabbage, napa cabbage, or Iceberg lettuce leaves. If your sausages are frozen, thaw them in advance.
Step 2
Remove the outer leaves from the fresh cabbage and wash it under cold running water. Cut out the core and any tough leaves. Slice the cabbage into thin strips, place it in the salad bowl, and add salt. Massage the cabbage with the salt so it releases some juice.
Step 3
Remove the selected sausages from their packaging and cut them into thin strips. You can also cut them into rounds or half-rounds. Add the sliced sausages to the bowl with the cabbage.
Step 4
Carefully open the can of green peas, drain the liquid, and add the needed amount of peas to the salad. About half a can is enough. Adjust to your taste.
Step 5
Add mayonnaise to the salad, or a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream, or just sour cream, or natural yogurt, choosing the proportions to your taste. If you like, you can add ground black pepper or other spices.
Step 6
Dress the salad right before serving. This tasty salad with cabbage and sausages can be served as a dish on its own. You can also serve it with a potato side dish. Enjoy your meal!
