Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Instead of regular white bread, you can use a wheat baguette. Cream cheese can be replaced with plain processed cheese or other cheeses like mozzarella or feta.
Step 2
Slice salmon or other red fish thinly. Pre-sliced fish saves time. If using a whole piece of salted fish, slightly freeze it first to make slicing easier.
Step 3
Wash, dry, and slice the cucumber into thin rounds. If the peel is tender and not bitter, it can remain on.
Step 4
Peel and press the garlic.
Step 5
Mix cream cheese with garlic thoroughly.
Step 6
Spread the garlic cream cheese onto slices of white bread. Optionally, toast the bread beforehand, but let it cool to room temperature so the cheese doesn’t melt.
Step 7
Arrange cucumber slices on one side of the bread.
Step 8
Arrange salmon slices on the other side.
Step 9
Garnish each sandwich with herbs (e.g., parsley) and sprinkle pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
