Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Boil the eggs in advance and let them cool. You can use store-bought or homemade mayonnaise.
Step 2
Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp sponge so they don’t absorb too much moisture - otherwise champignons will become bland and watery. Then pat them dry with a paper towel.
Step 3
Cut the champignons into small pieces.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Add the mushrooms. Fry them over medium heat, stirring. Salt them during cooking - this will make them release their juice and cook faster. Continue frying until the liquid evaporates and they are lightly golden.
Step 5
Peel the eggs and cut them into cubes.
Step 6
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. You can use any type of cheese as long as it’s natural and flavorful.
Step 7
You can either mix all the ingredients together, add mayonnaise, and serve, or make a layered salad using a cooking ring. Place the ring on a flat plate. I put lettuce leaves underneath. Add the fried mushrooms as the first layer, press them down, and pipe a mayonnaise grid over them. To do this, place mayonnaise in a piping bag (or a regular plastic bag) and snip off the tip.
Step 8
Add the diced eggs as the second layer. Pipe another mayonnaise grid on top.
Step 9
Add the grated cheese as the final layer. Press it down gently, then pipe one more mayonnaise grid over it.
Step 10
Remove the cooking ring. Garnish the top with slices of fried mushrooms and fresh herbs. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
