Preparation
Step 1
How do you make salad with crab sticks, croutons, and beans? Prepare the ingredients. You will need: 200 g / about 7 oz crab sticks, 200 g / about 7 oz canned red beans, 50 g / about 1.8 oz rye bread croutons, 2 eggs, 1 garlic clove, 2 tablespoons mayonnaise, and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
Step 2
Remove the crab sticks from their packaging film and cut them into small pieces.
Step 3
Hard-boil the eggs, peel them, and cut them into small cubes.
Step 4
Drain the canned beans in a sieve, then rinse them.
Step 5
You can use ready-made plain store-bought croutons. I prefer to make these croutons myself. To do this, cut rye bread into small cubes, place them on a baking tray, and dry them in the oven, stirring from time to time.
Step 6
Press the garlic through a garlic press. Pour the vegetable oil into the garlic and mix.
Step 7
Pour the aromatic garlic oil over the croutons and mix. This should be done at the very end, just before combining all the ingredients, so the croutons do not have time to soften.
Step 8
In a salad bowl, combine the beans, crab sticks, eggs, and garlic croutons.
Step 9
Dress the salad with mayonnaise and mix.
Step 10
Serve immediately, before the croutons become soft. Enjoy!
