Advice
How to choose crab sticks correctly? Always check the product’s expiration date. Surimi (white fish mince) should be listed as the first ingredient.
Preparation
Step 1
You can replace mayonnaise with sour cream, yogurt, or make a sauce by mixing sour cream and mayonnaise. If desired, you can enhance the salad with chopped fresh herbs like dill, or vegetables to taste. Bell peppers or olives work well. To make the salad more filling, you can add boiled rice.
Step 2
Hard-boil the eggs, cool them, and peel. Cut them into small cubes.
Step 3
Wash the cucumber and pat it dry. Cut it into small cubes. If the skin is not tough, damaged, or bitter, you don’t need to peel it.
Step 4
Remove the factory film from the crab sticks and also cut them into small cubes. You can replace or complement crab sticks with other seafood, such as shrimp, squid, or lightly salted red fish.
Step 5
Drain the liquid from the canned corn. Dry the kernels.
Step 6
In a bowl, combine the crab sticks, eggs, canned corn, and cucumbers. Dress the salad with mayonnaise, add salt to taste, and mix well.
Step 7
Serve the salad with crab sticks and cucumbers in a salad bowl, garnished with parsley or other greens. If you’re preparing the salad in advance, it’s better to add mayonnaise and salt right before serving. Enjoy your meal!
