Salad Chamomile with Potato Chips

Salad Chamomile with Potato Chips

Do not confuse this salad with the Sunflower Salad. Although they have a similar (or sometimes even identical) composition, Sunflower Salad looks slightly different—it is decorated with olives that resemble sunflower seeds.

Advices

Advice 1

I tried to make the salad look like a real chamomile flower, so I arranged the chips in two rows. After all, chamomile usually has two rows of petals.

Advice 2

Chips soften quite quickly, especially the parts inside the salad. Therefore, it is best to decorate the salad with chips just before serving.

Advice 3

For the yellow center of the flower, you don’t have to use canned corn. You can also use grated egg yolks from four eggs. The egg whites can be mixed into the salad, while the yolks should be grated on top. However, the yolks should be a rich yellow color. It is advisable to check this in advance because if the yolks are pale and dull, it’s better to use corn for decoration.
