Preparation
Step 1
How do you make rice with frozen vegetables in a frying pan? Prepare the ingredients. You can use any vegetables you like, and ready-made mixes such as Mexican, Italian, and others will also work. I used broccoli, green peas, carrot, bell pepper, and green beans. You can use meat broth or vegetable broth. What can replace broth? You can simply use hot water instead. It is preferable to use parboiled rice, I used long-grain rice.
Step 2
How do you chop and fry the onion? Peel the onion and chop it finely. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat the pan over high heat. Fry the chopped onion in the hot oil for several minutes until translucent.
Step 3
How long do you cook frozen vegetables in a frying pan? Add the frozen vegetables to the pan with the onion and fry them over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally. If the frozen vegetables are too large, it is better to cut them into smaller pieces before frying, without thawing them. Add the rice, salt, and pepper to the vegetables in the pan. You may also add your favorite spices.
Step 4
How long do you fry rice with vegetables in a frying pan? Continue frying the rice with the vegetables for about 2 minutes, stirring. Thanks to frying, the rice will remain soft but fluffy after cooking. Pour the broth or hot water over the rice and vegetables, stir, and cover the pan with a lid.
Step 5
How long do you simmer rice with vegetables in broth? Cook the rice with the vegetables under the lid over low heat for 15-20 minutes, until the rice is done. The exact time depends on the pan you use and on your stove.
Step 6
How do you serve rice with vegetables? Serve the finished rice with frozen vegetables hot. This dish can be served on its own or as a side dish with meat, chicken, or convenience foods. Enjoy your meal!
