Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Instead of smoked chicken, you can use boiled, baked, or fried chicken. You can use store-bought mayonnaise or make it yourself.
Step 2
Clean the smoked chicken breast from skin and bones. Cut into small cubes or thin strips. You may also use meat from drumsticks or thighs.
Step 3
Remove the film from the crab sticks and cut them into small cubes.
Step 4
Wash and dry the cucumber. Cut into thin sticks or small cubes. If the peel is tender and not bitter, you don’t need to remove it.
Step 5
Boil the eggs hard (about 10 minutes), cool, and peel. Separate the whites and yolks. Grate the whites on a coarse grater and the yolks on a fine one. You can grate the yolks directly onto the salad for a fluffier texture.
Step 6
You can mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl, but it looks nicer if layered in a cooking ring (6-7 inch / 16-18 cm diameter). First, place a layer of smoked chicken and drizzle with mayonnaise (a piping bag makes this easier).
Step 7
Add a layer of grated egg whites and drizzle again with mayonnaise.
Step 8
Place the cucumbers next, followed by another layer of mayonnaise.
Step 9
Add the crab stick layer and cover with the remaining mayonnaise.
Step 10
The final layer is the grated yolks. The brighter the yolks, the more beautiful the salad looks. Chill the salad for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator, covered with film so the yolks don’t dry out.
Step 11
Remove the ring and decorate as desired. I decorated with olives, crab sticks, and greens. Enjoy your meal!
