Easy
About 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
If you like, take a whole chicken (about 3.3 lb / 1.5 kg) and cut it into serving pieces. Or use parts such as drumsticks, thighs, or breast. Any fat content of sour cream will do.
Step 2
Wash the chicken, pat dry, and cut into serving pieces.
Step 3
Peel the garlic cloves and grate on a fine grater or press through a garlic press.
Step 4
Place chicken in a bowl, add sour cream, grated fresh garlic, salt, and pepper. You can replace sour cream with plain yogurt or mayonnaise.
Step 5
Mix well. The chicken should be fully coated in the sour cream–garlic mixture. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes or longer, depending on time.
Step 6
Wash potatoes thoroughly and scrub with a brush. Cut into wedges. Young potatoes with thin skin work best. Peel if desired.
Step 7
Place potatoes in a bowl, add vegetable oil, dried garlic, and salt. Mix well.
Step 8
Wash the tomatoes and cut each into 6 wedges. Choose firm, juicy tomatoes. Soft ones won’t hold their shape and may spoil the look of the dish.
Step 9
Grease a baking dish with oil. Arrange chicken, potatoes, and tomatoes inside. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 45 minutes, until the chicken is golden brown. Enjoy!
