Advice
When adding soy sauce to the dish, remember that it is quite salty. Reduce the overall amount of salt to avoid making the dish too salty.
Preparation
Step 1
First, prepare all the necessary ingredients. Can you use other meats instead of pork? Yes! Beef, lamb, chicken, or turkey will work, but keep in mind that cooking time and calorie content will vary. You can use fresh or frozen green beans, and there is no need to thaw them beforehand.
Step 2
Place the green beans into boiling salted water and cook for about 8 minutes, until tender. Then, drain them using a sieve and immediately rinse with cold water to preserve their bright green color. Pat dry.
Step 3
Wash the pork, pat it dry, and cut it into thin strips. Use boneless pork cuts such as ham, shoulder, loin, or tenderloin. I’m using tenderloin.
Step 4
Peel and slice the carrot into rounds.
Step 5
Slice the onion into thin half-rings.
Step 6
Peel and finely chop the garlic.
Step 7
Heat vegetable oil in a pan over high heat. Add onions and carrots, stirring occasionally, and fry for about 3 minutes, until they soften.
Step 8
Add the pork to the pan. Stir-fry for about 15 minutes, until it develops a golden brown crust.
Step 9
Add the chopped garlic and ground pepper, then mix well. You can also add your favorite spices.
Step 10
Pour in the soy sauce, stir, and let the dish simmer for another 5 minutes. If desired, you can use more soy sauce and dissolve 1 tbsp of cornstarch (or 1 tsp of potato starch) in it beforehand.
Step 11
Add the cooked green beans and sesame seeds, mix thoroughly, and remove the pan from the heat. Serve the pork with green beans and vegetables immediately. Enjoy your meal!
