Easy
More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
How to bake pork ribs in the oven in foil? Prepare all the ingredients. Use any mustard you like, hot or milder. The vinegar is regular 9% table vinegar. Be careful with the salt, since soy sauce is already quite salty. For the marinade, use good-quality filtered or bottled water.
Step 2
Start by preparing the marinade. Put the tomato paste into a bowl, pour in the water and mix well. Add the remaining ingredients, whisking constantly. If your honey is thick, melt it beforehand. If you like, you can add some chopped garlic to the marinade.
Step 3
Rinse the pork ribs under cold running water and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels. Cut them into separate pieces by slicing between the bones. If the bone is hard to cut at a joint, chop it through with a kitchen cleaver. You can cut them, as I did, into single ribs or into larger pieces of two or three ribs.
Step 4
Place the cut ribs into the marinade, making sure all the meat is covered. Cover the dish with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate. The longer the ribs stay in the marinade, the tastier they will be. I didn’t have a lot of marinade, so I turned the pieces from time to time. I marinated the ribs for 8 hours.
Step 5
Line the baking dish in which you’ll roast the ribs with aluminum foil. You can simply grease the bottom with vegetable oil and place the meat directly onto it, but using foil is much more convenient and keeps the dish cleaner. Lay the ribs in a single layer.
Step 6
Cover the top of the dish with another sheet of foil, sealing the edges well.
Step 7
Bake the pork ribs in the oven for about 30-40 minutes at 210 °C (about 410 °F). Adjust the time according to your oven. Then remove the foil and return the ribs to the oven for another 15-30 minutes so they brown nicely. At this stage I turned on the convection mode. Enjoy!
