Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients and spices for the meat patties with zucchini.
Step 2
Finely grate 300 g, or about 10½ oz, peeled and deseeded zucchini.
Step 3
Place 600 g, or about 1⅓ lb, mixed pork and beef ground meat in a large bowl. Add the grated zucchini and about 1 teaspoon salt.
Step 4
Add ½ teaspoon dried garlic, ⅓ teaspoon ground pepper blend and ⅓ teaspoon ground coriander.
Step 5
Add 1 egg and 1 onion that has been finely chopped and sautéed until golden.
Step 6
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until the meat mixture is evenly combined.
Step 7
Cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.
Step 8
Mix the chilled meat mixture again. Take portions of the mixture, lightly toss them between your hands to compact them, coat with all-purpose flour and shape into patties of your preferred size.
Step 9
Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the patties and cook over medium heat until golden brown on one side.
Step 10
Turn the patties over, cover the pan and continue cooking over low heat for 10–12 minutes, until fully cooked through.
Step 11
Transfer the finished zucchini meat patties to a plate and serve with your favorite side dish.
Step 12
The patties are ready to serve.
