Pizza with Sausages and Cheese (Baked in the Oven)

Preparation
Step 1
Start by making the dough - it needs time to rest. Prepare all the ingredients. This recipe is for instant yeast; for other types, the method will differ. You can use any vegetable oil instead of olive oil.

How to make pizza dough: sift the flour into a bowl. This removes any debris and also aerates the flour, making the baked crust fluffier and tastier.
Step 3
Add sugar, salt, and dry yeast to the flour. Mix the dry ingredients well.
Step 4
Warm the water in the microwave (or on the stove) until lukewarm - not hot, as high temperatures will kill the yeast. The ideal temperature is 98-100°F (37-38°C). Add the oil to the water.
Step 5
Pour the water and oil into the flour while mixing with a fork. Knead the dough. If it’s too sticky, add more flour; if it’s too dry, add water. The dough should be smooth, elastic, and not stick to your hands. Shape into a ball, cover with a cloth, and let rest for 45 minutes.
Step 6
Meanwhile, prepare the topping ingredients. You can use store-bought or homemade tomato sauce. Any type of sausage, cooked or smoked, will work. Use any cheese you have.
Step 7
Slice the sausages into thin pieces.

Slice the tomato thinly.
Step 9
If your olives have pits, remove them (pressing with the bottom of a glass works well). Halve pitted olives.

After resting, the dough should double in size.

Lightly oil a baking sheet (or any suitable pan). Stretch the dough by hand into a circle and place it on the sheet. From this amount of dough, you’ll get a pizza about 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter. For a thicker crust, let it rest 10-15 minutes in this shape; for a thin crust, proceed immediately.

Spread the tomato sauce over the dough. I use homemade sauce with onion, garlic, and Italian herbs.

Arrange the sliced tomato and olives on top.

Add the sliced sausages. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with grated cheese. You can also add onion, garlic, or herbs to the topping - I have all of these in my sauce.
Step 15
Bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C). Check doneness by lifting the crust - it should be golden brown.

Serve hot, cut into slices. Enjoy!
