Preparation
Step 1
How do you make homemade pizza with pickles, sausage, and tomatoes in the oven? Prepare all the ingredients. You can slightly adjust the topping proportions to your taste or swap something out.
Step 2
For the dough, warm the water to 35-39°C / 95-102°F. Add the yeast and salt. In warm water, the yeast activates faster and starts working.
Step 3
Add the egg and vegetable oil. Mix. Gradually add the flour and knead the dough. You may need a little more or less flour than stated, so go by the dough’s texture.
Step 4
The pizza dough should be soft and pliable. Cover the bowl with a towel and place it in a warm spot for 1 hour to rise.
Step 5
While the dough rises, prep the toppings. Peel and slice the onion (I use red onion). Slice the pickles and sausage into rounds. Rinse and slice the tomato and mushrooms.
Step 6
Punch down the risen dough, transfer it to the table, and start assembling the pizza.
Step 7
Roll the dough into a circle and spread tomato sauce over the surface.
Step 8
Arrange the mushrooms and sausage. In a separate bowl, mix the egg with mayonnaise and drizzle it in a thin crisscross over the whole pizza.
Step 9
Add the tomatoes, pickles, and onion. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 356°F for 15-17 minutes. Adjust for your oven.
Step 10
Serve the pizza right away. It’s delicious both hot and cold. Enjoy!
