You can add any vegetables you like to the fish — onions, carrots, tomatoes, or bell peppers. It’s better to sauté the onions and carrots first so they don't stay hard after baking. You can also make a sauce based on sour cream or cream, pour it over the fish, sprinkle with cheese, and bake under the same conditions.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use the fish whole, in steaks, or as fillets. Thaw it first by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the fridge.

If you have a whole fish, cut it into serving pieces after removing the head and gutting it. Rinse the pieces under cold water and dry with paper towels — excess moisture can make the dish watery. Season the fish pieces with salt and ground black pepper on both sides. You can also add other spices to taste.
Step 3
Take a baking dish and place the pink salmon pieces inside. You can line the dish with foil to make cleaning easier. Drizzle the fish with lemon juice to soften the flavor and add a pleasant aroma. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each piece (or use sour cream instead). Grate the cheese using a medium grater.

Sprinkle the grated cheese over the fish.

Bake the pink salmon with cheese in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30 to 40 minutes. The exact time will depend on your oven and the thickness of the pieces. Be careful not to overbake, so the fish doesn’t dry out. Once done, serve immediately.
