Pies in a Multicooker
A very simple baking recipe that always works! Pies in a multicooker come out just as good as those baked in the oven or fried in a pan. This method is perfect if you don’t have a stove, like in a country house. You can make any fillings, sweet or savory.

Ingredients

Preparation
Step 1
Sift the flour in advance to saturate it with oxygen. This helps the dough rise better and results in fluffier pastries.
Step 2
For the dough, pour warm milk (95-100°F or 35-38°C) into a bowl and add dry yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix to dissolve the yeast. Yeast activates quickly in a warm environment.
Step 3
Crack the eggs into the bowl and add vegetable oil.
Step 4
Gradually add the sifted flour and knead the dough. You may need slightly more or less flour than the recipe suggests, so don’t add it all at once. Adjust based on the dough consistency.
Step 5
The dough will be soft and smooth, not sticky to the hands. Cover with a towel and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
Step 6
Once the dough has risen well, punch it down and start shaping the pies.
Step 7
You can use any filling you like for the pies, such as cabbage or egg. I used leftover mashed potatoes and boiled condensed milk. Shape the dough into small flat rounds, place the filling in the center, seal the edges, and form a pie.
Step 8
Set the multicooker to "Fry" mode and let it heat up. Add vegetable oil. Place the pies in the multicooker, leaving some space between them as they will expand. Fry the pies for 2-3 minutes on each side. Adjust the time based on your multicooker.
Step 9
Once done, place the pies on a separate plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil. Cover with a towel to steam them a little further. Enjoy your treat!
