- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
If cucumbers are slightly wilted, you can refresh them by soaking in cold water for about 15 hours.
Step 2
Wash the prepared cucumbers, trim the ends, and place them in a bowl.
Step 3
Wash and sterilize a 3-liter (3.2 qt) jar. Place spices and herbs on the bottom: red chili, black peppercorns, garlic, cloves, currant leaves, dill flowers, horseradish leaves.
Step 4
Pack the cucumbers tightly into the jar.
Step 5
Pour boiling water over them, cover, and leave for 15 minutes.
Step 6
Drain the water into a pot, add sugar and salt (without a heap), then add vinegar (1 tbsp directly into the jar with cucumbers). Bring to a boil.
Step 7
Pour the hot marinade into the jar with cucumbers. Wait a few minutes for air bubbles to escape, then top up as needed.
Step 8
Seal with sterilized lids, turn upside down, and leave under a towel for three days. After that, move them to a cellar for long-term storage.
