Perfect Juicy Pork Steak in a Skillet
Learn to cook juicy meat with this recipe. If you want juicy fried pork steaks, you do not have to go to a café or bar. You can easily create the atmosphere of a beer restaurant at home if you choose the right snacks to go with beer, for example pork steaks and crispy fried potato strips.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you fry a perfect juicy pork steak in a skillet? Prepare all the necessary ingredients for the dish. You can use meat for the steak either on the bone or boneless. I used already sliced boneless pork loin. In the store, the right cut of meat may be sold under the names “pork steak” or “loin.” Important: the meat must not be frozen, otherwise it will turn out rubbery in texture.
Step 2
It is more convenient to use already ground mustard. But if you have mustard seeds, as I did, then they need to be ground in a grinder or placed in a bag and crushed with a rolling pin.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine the ground paprika, mustard, ground black pepper, and salt. Mix the spices. In addition to the listed spices, you can also use different herbs, for example herbes de Provence.
Step 4
Wash the loin and pat it dry with paper towels. The thickness of the steak can also vary, from thin slices about 1 cm thick, about 0.4 inch, up to 5 cm, about 2 inches. Choose what you like best; the frying time for such a steak may vary depending on the desired doneness and the thickness of the meat pieces. The fattier the piece of meat you choose, the tastier and more tender the steak will turn out. I do not like very fatty meat in any form, so I chose a lean loin.
Step 5
Rub the pork loin steaks with the spice mixture and leave them to marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature. If possible, leave the meat in the refrigerator overnight, covering it with plastic wrap beforehand.
Step 6
Brush the meat with vegetable oil.
Step 7
Heat the skillet over high heat. There is no need to grease it with anything, because the meat is already brushed with vegetable oil. If you have a grill pan, it is better to cook on it - you will also get a beautiful pattern on the meat. Place the pork loin steaks in the pan and fry on one side for 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the desired level of doneness. I fried the meat for 4 minutes on each side, and it was fully cooked inside, because my loin was no thicker than 1 cm, about 0.4 inch.
Step 8
Rely on your own preferences, the heat level, and the thickness of the skillet. Then turn the meat over to the other side and fry it for another 2 to 5 minutes. Transfer the finished loin steaks to a serving dish and let them rest for 2-3 minutes, covering them with foil. Then serve the steaks hot. The meat turns out juicy and aromatic, despite the small amount of fat in the loin itself. Enjoy your meal!
