Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Use any pasta - long (spaghetti, fettuccine) or short (bowties, penne, elbow macaroni, etc.). I used ridged penne.
Step 2
Peel sausages from their casing and slice into rounds. You can use any type, but strong smoked flavors will influence the dish. For a neutral taste, use regular milk or creamy sausages.
Step 3
Wash, dry, and finely chop parsley. You can substitute or combine with dill, cilantro, green onions, or other herbs.
Step 4
Mix tomato paste with clean drinking water until smooth. You can also use ketchup or peeled, chopped fresh tomatoes.
Step 5
Cook pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente (1 minute less than package instructions). It’s efficient to cook pasta while frying the sausages.
Step 6
Drain pasta in a colander and let water drip off.
Step 7
Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Add sausage slices and fry 3-5 minutes until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
Step 8
Pour the diluted tomato paste into the skillet. Add dried basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer sausages in the sauce over low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Step 9
Add pressed garlic and cook 1 more minute. Remove the skillet from heat.
Step 10
Add pasta to the skillet and mix well with sausages.
Step 11
Sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve. Enjoy!
