Preparation
Step 1
How to make pasta with onions in a pan? Prepare the ingredients. Any pasta shape will work, choose by your taste or what you have. The main thing is that it’s good-quality pasta made from durum wheat – this kind of pasta doesn’t fall apart and tastes better. I recommend taking more onion, as it cooks down a lot in the pan. One onion seemed too little to me.
Step 2
Peel the onion and slice it into thin rings, or cut it in another way you prefer.
Step 3
Cook the pasta over medium heat, stirring, for the time indicated on the package. Aim for an al dente texture - when the pasta remains slightly firm. It will finish cooking in the pan with the onions, but won’t get mushy. Drain the pasta in a colander and transfer it to the pan with the onions. Stir and heat together with the onions for about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Serve the dish at the table. Enjoy your meal!
