Preparation
Step 1
How do you pan-fry sweet bell peppers with garlic? It’s very easy. First, prepare the ingredients from the list. For a bright and colorful result, use peppers of different colors. I used red and yellow. This recipe also works with regular seasonal sweet peppers.
Step 2
Rinse the parsley and dill, shake off excess water, and finely chop. If you like, replace or add other herbs, such as cilantro, green onions, or a mix of herbs.
Step 3
Peel the garlic and finely chop it with a knife, or press it through a garlic press.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Add the bell peppers and fry on all sides until charred spots appear. If needed, cover the skillet with a lid so the oil doesn’t splatter. If you prefer, fry the peppers not whole but sliced into strips, removing the seeds and stem.
Step 5
Transfer the fried peppers to a plastic bag and tie it shut. Leave for 10-15 minutes. This helps you peel off the skin more easily.
Step 6
Peel the softened peppers, keeping the stems attached.
Step 7
Place the peppers in a bowl, sprinkle with chopped herbs, garlic, salt, and ground pepper, and let them stand for 5-7 minutes. If you like, add 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Then serve. Enjoy!
