Preparation
Step 1
First, prepare all the necessary ingredients and spices for making this homemade meat dish with a fragrant sauce.
Step 2
In a large bowl, place 700 g (about 1½ lb) of mixed ground meat (beef and lamb). Add ½ teaspoon of chili pepper, ½ teaspoon of cumin, ½ teaspoon of coriander, and 1 teaspoon of paprika.
Step 3
Add ⅔ teaspoon of salt, some ground black pepper to taste, and 60 g (about ¼ cup) of finely chopped onion.
Step 4
Finely chop 20 g (about 1 tablespoon) of parsley and add it to the bowl. Mix everything well and place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 5
To prepare the sauce: in a small bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of sour cream, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, and 1 clove of garlic (pressed).
Step 6
Finely chop cilantro to taste, add it to the bowl, and mix well. Season with black pepper to taste and refrigerate the sauce.
Step 7
Heat a frying pan over medium heat (about 350°F / 175°C) and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Wet your hands with water, take some minced meat, form small balls, and lightly slap them between your palms. Shape into oval kebabs and make small indentations with your fingers.

Place the kebabs on the hot skillet and fry until golden brown on both sides.

Transfer the cooked kebabs to plates and serve with potatoes or grilled vegetables along with the prepared sauce.
