Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Use quick-cooking oats. The berry filling can be any kind you like. I used cherries. I also chose cherry-flavored yogurt.
Step 2
Chia seeds are very popular to use, so they are often added to overnight oats. But this is not required at all. If you are using them, add the seeds to the plain yogurt at this stage and stir. You can use either store-bought or homemade yogurt.
Step 3
Divide half of the oats evenly among clean jars or glasses. Pour the milk over the oats. Add the cherry yogurt on top of the oats and milk. Spread the cherries over the yogurt. Add the remaining oats over the cherries, then top with the yogurt mixed with chia seeds. Screw the lids tightly onto the jars. If you like, you can shake the jars so the contents mix together.
Step 4
It is best to leave the oats in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, serve the overnight oats with coffee or tea. Enjoy your meal!
