Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Choose firm bell peppers, not soft or wilted. For a more colorful and attractive dish, pick peppers of different colors.
Step 2
Wash and dry the bell peppers, then slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds. Optionally, you can also remove the stems.
Step 3
Grate the cheese using a coarse grater. You can use any type of cheese for this dish, as long as it’s tasty.
Step 4
Drain the olives from their brine, pat them dry, and slice into rings.
Step 5
Rinse the dill, shake off excess water, and finely chop it. You can replace or combine it with other herbs like parsley, cilantro, green onions, or a mix.
Step 6
In a bowl, combine the grated cheese, sliced olives, chopped herbs, and minced garlic. Add mayonnaise to bind the mixture.
Step 7
Mix everything thoroughly. Add salt if needed. You can also season the filling with your preferred spices.
Step 8
Firmly stuff each bell pepper half with the cheese mixture.
Step 9
Place the stuffed peppers into a baking dish greased with vegetable oil. Arrange them so they stay upright and the filling doesn’t spill out. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 20-25 minutes. Baking time may vary depending on your oven.
Step 10
Transfer the baked peppers to a serving plate. Best served hot while the cheese is still stretchy. Enjoy!
