Oven-Baked Pink Salmon in Soy Sauce
Juicy, aromatic, and tender red fish for the whole family. Oven-baked pink salmon in soy sauce is a great way to make naturally lean fish soft and juicy. The marinade and baking in foil handle this perfectly. You can add spices to your taste. Serve with your favorite side dish.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make pink salmon in soy sauce in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients for making juicy pink salmon steaks. Olive oil can be replaced with any vegetable oil.
Step 2
First, the pink salmon needs to be marinated to enrich the fish with extra juiciness and a special flavor. For the marinade, combine soy sauce, lemon juice, and olive oil in a small bowl. Add the basil and mix everything well. Use any spices and aromatic herbs you like, as they will help bring out the flavor of the fish. But do not add too many spices and seasonings, so they do not overpower the main ingredient.
Step 3
For marinating, use a container of suitable size and width. It is best if the steaks lie in a single layer, as they will marinate better that way. Salt the fish, keeping in mind that the soy sauce in the marinade will already add some saltiness to the dish.
Step 4
Pour the marinade over the pink salmon and mix carefully so that the marinade is distributed evenly over all the pieces of fish.
Step 5
Cover the container with the steaks and leave them to marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour. The longer the fish marinates, the tastier it will be in the end. During marinating, turn the steaks a couple of times so they marinate more evenly on all sides. If the marinating time will be much longer, it is better to place the container with the steaks in the refrigerator.
Step 6
Cut the peeled onion into thin half-rings. If the onion is small, you can cut it into whole rings.
Step 7
Prepare aluminum foil for baking the fish. You can wrap all the steaks in one piece of foil at once, but I wrapped 2 steaks at a time. Place the prepared onion on a sheet of foil of the required size.
Step 8
Place the marinated pink salmon steaks on top of the onion.
Step 9
Cover the pink salmon with a second sheet of foil, sealing the edges tightly so the foil does not open during baking and the juices do not leak out. Airtightness is very important here. At the same time, do not press the foil tightly against the fish. There should be space between the foil and the steaks so the fish cooks in steam.
Step 10
Place the foil-wrapped steaks on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes. Fish cooks quickly, so it is important to take it out of the oven in time, before all the juices evaporate. The baking time will depend on the way your oven works.
Step 11
Take the fish out of the oven. Carefully, so you do not burn yourself, open the edges and remove the top layer of foil. Return the steaks to the oven for another 3–5 minutes so they brown slightly.
Step 12
Serve the pink salmon in soy sauce hot with a side dish of potatoes or grains, or with fresh vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
