Oven-Baked Meat in Sour Cream
The flavor of the finished dish largely depends on the amount and mix of spices you use for roasting the meat. Keep in mind: if you cook beef, the oven time increases almost twofold. Chicken drumsticks or other poultry parts will be ready in 40–50 minutes.

Preparation
Step 1
How to bake meat with sour cream in the oven? Prepare all the ingredients listed in the recipe. What meat is best? Pork or beef work great, but you can also cook poultry this way - it will be just as tasty. Rinse the meat and pat dry with paper towels.
Step 2
Cut the meat into small pieces (like for goulash). If the pieces are larger, they’ll take longer to bake; if they’re too small, the meat may turn out a bit dry.
Step 3
Add a heaping tablespoon of sour cream and a not-quite-full spoon of honey to the pork. Squeeze in the juice of half a fresh lemon, salt to taste, and add your favorite seasonings. Add ground peppers, garlic powder, dried basil or oregano. Adjust any spice amount to your taste. If you like it spicy, use chili pepper.
Step 4
Mix everything very well. Rinse and pat dry the herbs, then finely chop them. Parsley, fresh cilantro, and green onion are ideal here. Add the herbs to the meat, lightly rubbing them between your hands.
Step 5
If possible, use khmeli-suneli and a pinch of ground coriander - these spices add a special touch, a distinctive flavor, and a beautiful appetizing color. Mix again well, cover the meat with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate to marinate for about 1 hour.
Step 6
Spread the meat pieces on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven for 1-1.5 hours. The baking temperature can vary from 180 to 240°C / 356 to 464°F, depending on your oven. To prevent the meat from drying out, cover the dish with foil; remove the foil 20 minutes before it’s done and bake uncovered until browned.
Step 7
Garnish the finished dish with a sprig of parsley or cilantro, and sprinkle with ground allspice if desired.
Step 8
Serve as a main dish with fresh vegetables and salads, or as a topping/side pairing with potatoes, pasta, or cooked grains.
