Preparation
Step 1
How do you make an oven-baked lavash roll with ground meat? Prepare the ingredients. You can use any ground meat (pork, beef, chicken). I used a mix (pork + beef).
Step 2
Peel the onion, rinse it, and grate it finely.
Step 3
Combine the ground meat with 1 egg and the prepared onion. Season with salt and ground black pepper and mix well. Add any spices you like.
Step 4
Beat the second egg in a small bowl with a fork until smooth.
Step 5
Brush one sheet of lavash with the beaten egg using a pastry brush. My lavash was about 16 × 20 in (40 × 50 cm).
Step 6
Cover with a second sheet of lavash so the roll is sturdier and doesn’t get soggy from the filling while baking. Brush the second sheet with egg as well. Work quickly - lavash edges dry out fast.
Step 7
Spread the ground meat evenly over the lavash.
Step 8
Roll it up tightly along the long side.
Step 9
Cut the roll crosswise into 2 pieces and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You can also bake it in a baking dish. Brush the top with beaten egg.
Step 10
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 356°F for 25 minutes. 5 minutes before the end, I brushed it with egg again to make the crust more golden.
Step 11
Slice the finished lavash roll with ground meat into pieces and serve. Enjoy your meal!
