Oven baked juicy chicken breast

A simple oven-baked chicken breast recipe that delivers juicy, tender results every time. Perfect for quick meals, prep-ahead lunches, or slicing into salads and grain bowls.

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 220C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Step 2
Place the chicken breast on the prepared tray, spacing them apart if cooking more than one. Drizzle a little olive oil over each piece and season with sea salt and black pepper. You can also add a seasoning blend of your choice, if desired.
Step 3
Bake in the oven for 16–22 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of each chicken breast.
Step 4
If you’re baking more than four breasts at once, increase the cooking time by 5 minutes. Always check for doneness, use a digital food thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches at least 75C. Or pierce the thickest part with a skewer - the juices should run clear, and there should be no pinkness inside
Step 5
Once done, allow the chicken to rest on the tray for 5 minutes before serving. If you're serving it cold, gently pat the chicken dry with kitchen paper after resting, and let it cool completely.
