Preparation
Step 1
How to make chicken drumsticks with lemon butter and rosemary? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can replace olive oil with any vegetable oil.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, lemon zest, ground nutmeg, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix well.
Step 3
Rinse the chicken drumsticks and pat dry well. Place them in a bowl of suitable size. Add the lemon butter mixture. Mix well, massaging the chicken so the mixture is distributed evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and leave on the counter for 25-30 minutes. During this time, the mixture will develop its flavor and aroma, soak into the drumsticks, and make them juicier.
Step 4
Rinse the rosemary and pat dry. Strip the leaves from one sprig, add to the drumsticks, and mix.
Step 5
Place the drumsticks in a baking dish, snugly next to each other, in the mixture.
Step 6
Peel the red onion, rinse it, and cut into large wedges. Place the onion between the drumsticks. Put the second rosemary sprig on top.
Step 7
Bake the drumsticks in an oven preheated to 180°C / 356°F for 25-30 minutes, until golden-brown. Cooking time may vary depending on your oven.
Step 8
Serve the aromatic drumsticks with lemon butter with any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
