Preparation
Step 1
How to bake bone-in pork in the oven? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Bone-in pork loin is perfect for roasting. As an aromatic herb, I use dried basil. I love its aroma and add it to almost all meat dishes. If you like, replace it with marjoram, rosemary, or any other herb you prefer.
Step 2
Rinse the pork under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Step 3
For the marinade, take a deep bowl and mix soy sauce with a little vegetable oil. Add dried basil and a little salt. Adjust the salt to taste, but remember soy sauce is already quite salty - salt may not be needed at all.
Step 4
Pierce each piece of meat with a knife 3-4 times and place it in the bowl with the marinade. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and leave to marinate for 3-4 hours at room temperature. If you plan to cook in 6–8 hours, refrigerate the bowl.
Step 5
Before baking, remove the meat from the marinade and blot off excess moisture. If it was marinated in the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for a while so it warms up slightly.
Step 6
Place the prepared bone-in loin on a rack, with a baking tray underneath to catch dripping juices and fat. Put into an oven preheated to 210°C (410°F) for 40-45 minutes. Adjust to your oven.
Step 7
The cooked meat will have a fragrant golden crust, and the bone will darken. Remove it from the oven and serve hot.
Step 8
Serve the baked bone-in loin with fresh herbs and vegetables. Enjoy your meal!
