Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any pasta you like, but avoid very large or tiny ones. Medium-sized pasta works best. The stew can be made from any kind of meat - I’m using pork stew.
Step 2
Wash the onion and carrot with a brush or rough sponge under running water, peel, and rinse again. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
Step 3
Turn on the multicooker in “fry” mode and pour a little vegetable oil into the bowl. Once heated, add the chopped onion and carrot. Fry for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Do not close the lid. (Note: settings may differ depending on your multicooker.)
Step 4
Add the stew to the fried vegetables. Stir well and heat through until the broth in the stew melts.
Step 5
Add the dry (uncooked) pasta into the bowl.
Step 6
Pour in hot water (about 4 cups / 1 liter), stir, and season lightly with salt, but keep in mind that the stew is already salty. I don’t add extra spices since stew usually contains bay leaves and peppercorns, which provide enough flavor. Switch the multicooker to “stew” mode for 15 minutes and close the lid. Since it’s already hot, the pasta will start cooking immediately. Stir once or twice during cooking.
Step 7
By the end, the pasta will have absorbed the water and doubled in size. Stir, portion onto plates, and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
