Mustard, Soy Sauce, and Honey Marinade
Universal, original, savory, and full of unusual flavor. A marinade made from mustard, soy sauce, and honey will make fish and meat, whether beef, pork, or poultry, soft and tender. The combination of honey and salty sauce gives the dish a savory sweet-and-spicy taste.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make a marinade from mustard, soy sauce, and honey? Prepare all the ingredients and utensils needed for the marinade. Take a small but deep bowl so it is convenient to mix all the ingredients together. First, pour the soy sauce into the bowl. Choose a sauce with as few ingredients as possible, as it is more natural and flavorful.
Step 2
Now carefully add the honey to the soy sauce. It is best to use runny honey, because it will be easier to mix in without heating. If you only have thick honey, warm it by melting it in a double boiler at a temperature no higher than 40°C (104°F).
Step 3
Add the mustard to the marinade as well. The type of mustard you choose will affect the flavor of the finished dish. For example, if you use Bavarian mustard, the finished dish will have slight sweet notes. If you add hot mustard, as I did, the dish will turn out spicier. If you use Dijon mustard, besides its characteristic flavor, the finished dish will also be dotted with mustard seeds.
Step 4
Press the garlic clove directly into the bowl with the other ingredients using a garlic press. Add a little salt, but only a very small amount, since the soy sauce already contains enough of it.
Step 5
Once all the marinade ingredients are in one bowl, stir them for a few minutes until the mixture becomes smooth and uniform. The marinade is ready.
