Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. You can use both fresh and frozen mushrooms. If frozen, no need to thaw them. Choose small, firm, and undamaged mushrooms. Any sour cream works.

Start by making the sour cream sauce. Add sour cream to a bowl, press garlic cloves into it, and adjust garlic quantity to taste. You can also add chopped herbs, such as parsley. Season with salt and pepper.

Clean the mushrooms carefully with a sponge, avoiding excess moisture. Pat them dry with a paper towel. If large, cut them in half.

Add the sour cream sauce to the mushrooms and mix until well-coated. Let the mushrooms sit for 20-30 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a baking dish with a bit of oil. Place the mushrooms, cap side down, in the dish, packing them closely.

Bake the mushrooms for 20-30 minutes, depending on your oven and mushroom size. Adjust cooking time accordingly.
