Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any type of bread for these sandwiches - choose according to your taste. I use several slices of white bread. Take the cream cheese out of the refrigerator in advance so it softens and spreads more easily.
Step 2
Peel the onion and rinse it under cold water. Slice into half rings or slightly smaller pieces.
Step 3
Rinse the champignons well under running water to remove dirt. Slice the mushrooms.
Step 4
Heat a frying pan until hot and add a little vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes more translucent and fragrant.
Step 5
Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Stir with the onion and cook together under a lid for 5-7 minutes. The mushrooms will release liquid, but it will evaporate during cooking. Season lightly with salt.
Step 6
Spread cream cheese on each bread slice. If you wish, you can slightly toast the bread in the oven (350°F / 175°C, 3-4 minutes) or in a skillet.
Step 7
Place a lettuce leaf on each slice of bread.
Step 8
Top with the sautéed mushrooms. The mushroom sandwiches are ready. Serve garnished with fresh herbs or cherry tomatoes. Enjoy!
