Preparation
Step 1
How do you make a salad with chicken, pineapple, walnuts, and cheese? Prepare the necessary ingredients. I use boiled chicken breast fillet. You can replace it with smoked chicken, but the flavor won’t be as mild as with boiled meat. Use canned pineapple chunks (if using rings, that’s three rings). Use canned corn, hard cheese, and walnuts (preferably already toasted). Prepare a bowl for the salad.
Step 2
Carefully open the can of corn and drain the liquid. Put the needed amount of corn into the salad bowl.
Step 3
Dice the chilled chicken fillet into small cubes. Add the meat to the bowl with the corn. You can use any chicken you have at home, but with boiled chicken fillet the salad will taste milder.
Step 4
Carefully open the can of pineapple. Take the needed amount and dice it into small cubes. The leftover pineapple juice can be used for other recipes, for example cocktails or fruit ice pops. Add the pineapple to the prepared ingredients.
Step 5
Remove the hard cheese from the package, cut off the rind, and grate on a coarse grater. Any hard cheese you like or have on hand will work. Add the grated cheese to the salad.
Step 6
Mix the ingredients in the bowl, add salt to taste and mayonnaise. You can serve the salad in a large bowl or divide it into portions.
Step 7
Walnuts are best toasted. If they’re raw, toast them for a few minutes in a dry skillet (toasted nuts digest better). Chop the walnuts into small pieces with a sharp knife.
Step 8
Scatter the chopped nuts over the top. The chicken, pineapple, walnut, and cheese salad is ready to eat. Enjoy!
