Easy
About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
For one serving, use exactly 2 eggs, as omelets in the microwave turn out slightly smaller than with traditional cooking. Adjust the amount of water and milk to your preference, or use only water or only milk. Omelet made with 10% cream is also very tasty.
Step 2
Wash the eggs thoroughly and dry them. Always wash eggs before use, as harmful bacteria can be present even on clean-looking shells. It’s best to use food-safe cleaning products and a brush. Crack the eggs into a bowl and add salt to taste.
Step 3
Lightly beat the eggs with a hand whisk or a regular fork.
Step 4
Add water and milk to the egg mixture. This time, beat thoroughly until the mixture is airy and uniform. Poor mixing may leave firm bits of unblended egg white in the omelet.
Step 5
Use a microwave-safe dish. Pour in the egg mixture. Do not fill to the top - the omelet needs space to rise.
Step 6
Cover the dish with a plate and microwave on high power (750W) for 3 to 5 minutes. Mine was ready in 3.5 minutes. Carefully remove from the microwave - the dish will be very hot!
Step 7
Serve the omelet immediately. You can serve it in the same dish after it cools slightly. A small amount of liquid may be released during cooking; this is normal - simply drain it off. Enjoy!
