Microwave Cookies in 5 Minutes
Quick to make, from simple ingredients, and with any filling you like. Microwave cookies in 5 minutes are a lifesaver when guests are already at the door and you have nothing for tea. You only need to mix the ingredients, adding any filling to taste. I use chocolate pieces, but you can also use nuts, dried fruit, or shredded coconut.

Easy
About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
How do you make cookies in the microwave in 5 minutes? Prepare all the ingredients. Use all-purpose flour. Dark chocolate with a high cocoa content will work well. Mine is 90%. Use a small egg. If you plan to use vanilla sugar instead of vanilla, use 10 times more than the amount indicated. Personally, I often use margarine for making cookies. With good creamy margarine, the cookies turn out more crumbly, and it is also cheaper.
Step 2
Melt the butter. You can do this in the microwave using the appropriate setting, over low heat in a saucepan, or in a double boiler. To melt the butter in a double boiler, take two containers of different sizes. Pour water into the larger one and place the smaller one on top so that its bottom sits halfway in the water. Put pieces of butter into it. When the water boils, the butter will begin to melt. Once it is completely melted, remove it from the heat.
Step 3
Cool the melted butter completely and pour it into a deep bowl that is convenient for mixing the liquid and dry ingredients. Crack the egg into the bowl. Add the vanilla and beat with a whisk or simply a fork. There is no need to beat it until foamy.
Step 4
Add the sugar, salt, and baking soda. Adding salt improves the taste of the cookies and makes the egg easier to beat. With the amount of sugar given in the recipe, the cookies turn out not too sweet. If you like sweeter baked goods, add 3 tablespoons of sugar instead of 2. Beat until smooth and until the sugar dissolves.
Step 5
Sift the flour to remove any small impurities and to enrich the dough with oxygen. Pour the liquid part of the dough into half of the flour. Add the liquid part to the dry ingredients, not the other way around, so the dough turns out well. Since flour of the same type from different manufacturers can behave differently, you may need a little less or a little more.
Step 6
When it becomes hard to mix with a spoon, start kneading with your hands. The dough should become soft and very tender, but it should not stick to your hands.
Step 7
Chop the chocolate into small pieces with a knife.
Step 8
Add the chopped chocolate to the dough and knead thoroughly.
Step 9
The chocolate should be distributed evenly throughout the dough.
Step 10
Divide the dough into 6 or 8 equal pieces and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball so it becomes a cookie. For baking the cookies, use a dish that is safe for the microwave. Place the cookies on it; you can line it with parchment paper. I put mine in the microwave for 5 minutes at 800 watts.
Step 11
The cooking time and power may vary depending on the characteristics of your microwave. Therefore, start checking for doneness by appearance after the third minute. The first time, you may need to stand nearby and watch the cookies so you can understand how long they need in your appliance. The finished cookies will rise slightly, and the surface will turn from glossy to matte.
