Meatballs with Potatoes in the Oven
A tasty and hearty dinner - side dish and meat in one dish. Meatballs with potatoes in the oven are baked together, which greatly reduces time in the kitchen. The sour cream and tomato sauce makes them juicy, while the pre-boiled potatoes turn out soft and fluffy. The original presentation of the dish will decorate your table.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake meatballs with potatoes in the oven? Prepare the necessary ingredients. The ground meat can be any kind; I used a mix of beef and pork. You can also use slightly stale white bread.
Step 2
Break the stale bread into pieces and cover it with water. Leave it for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Wash the potatoes well, peel them, and cut them in any way you like. I chose to slice them into rounds, but you can also cut them into regular wedges. Do not make them too thick, or they may not cook through.
Step 4
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Put the sliced potatoes into the pot, add salt, and parboil them for 10 minutes. This will help the potatoes cook faster in the oven. After 10 minutes, drain the potatoes in a colander.
Step 5
Chop the onion in any way you like. I grated it on a fine grater, but you can simply chop it or use a kitchen appliance.
Step 6
Add the grated onion, salt, and pepper to the ground meat. Remove the crusts from the bread, squeeze the crumb lightly, and add it to the meat.
Step 7
Knead the meat mixture well until all the ingredients are fully combined. Turn the oven on to 180°C (350°F).
Step 8
Take a baking dish. Shape round meatballs with your hands and arrange them evenly in the dish. Leave spaces between the meatballs for the potatoes.
Step 9
Prepare the sauce. Mix the sour cream with the tomato sauce and add 1/2 cup of water. Add salt to taste. You can also add your favorite spices.
Step 10
Arrange the potato slices nicely in the gaps between the meatballs.
Step 11
Pour the sauce over the meatballs and potatoes.
Step 12
Bake the meatballs with potatoes in sour cream sauce in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30–40 minutes, until golden brown. The exact time depends on your oven. Enjoy your meal!
